That would be great. Statues are nice but I think the vast majority of us would prefer articulated figures.

Yes, yes, yes !!!! :D

I like Mezco statues but we are in 30th anniversary and we all need an accurate action figures toy line....especially in MOTUC scale...

I'm starting to like this. New "ThunderCats" figures by Mezco are coming just in time for the franchise's 30th birthday. :)

I can say again. It is 100% confirmed that Mezco is going to do ThunderCats figures and they will be revealing them at Toy Fair. I've had this directly from one of the key guys at Mezco. They are not saying what scale these will be in.

It is a good guess that Mezco would want to do these in 1:12 but as Bandai previously held the license for that scale, it is unclear at this point whether Bandai has the rights to work on that scale.

It is entirely possible that they would continue in the megascale line, probably with Tygra up next.

It is also possible they are doing some other scale or format. We won't know more until Toy Fair, or unless they decide to release more info ahead of tGrizzlhat.

All I know is I will have a purpose to go to "Toys R Us" now!

Thank you Grizzlor for the update
Hoo!

I'm all for a new scale, but I really hope they finish the mega scale line with at least Tygra.
#25
I am actually hoping this is a continuation of the giant figs line. I want to finally have a giant Tygra, Thunderkittens, and the Mutants.

Well, if it's the same Mezco that brought Popeye line in the 90's, I am sure a ThunderCats Classics action figures could be one of the best cartoon-oriented toy lines ever !!! :D

Even respecting all fellows here that want Tygra statue to complete their collections, I thinks thats the time to an articulated TC new toyline, compatible with its brother MOTUC ! :p

if Mezco did a Thundercats Classics line that was similar to their MOTUC line, I would just start signing over my paychecks to them. It would hands down be the greatest Thundercats line to date. It would be incredible. I do not want to get my hopes up though but that is what i am hoping for most.

I have to agree. The price point that is being speculated in this thread would be pretty hard to swallow, but I would plan on cutting back on other spending and fully supporting this line! I am really looking forward to an announcement.

Considering their One:12 line is a more high-end line with fabric for toys that is priced at $65, I think they might considering going with a 6" or 7" line with sculpted clothes thus allowing them to do more characters at a lower price range.

Good point!

But I do think we will get a few of the high figures as exclusives only! That way fans can not expect too much figures in their "One:12 scale"!

I don't think Thundercats would go well in the 1:12 line like Batman and Dredd mainly due to their costumes etc.

I think it will be a 6" sculpted line like their upcoming Mortal Kombat figures.

$18.99 for 6" figures with those sculpts and 23 points of articulation is a total steal!

It is indeed. Overall that is a good price for them.

Something along those lines would be great and my wallet would be a little happier!

If mezco releases a line to 6 inch action figures even with minimal articulation, they can be sure my money is theirs ...im buying everything and in multiples.....thanks Mezco for...currently taking a chance on my beloved thundercats line....

Same here! I will buy everything I can afford. Probably one of each for my collection and some for my kids to play with!

Well I am not sure what I could afford. I would definitely buy one of each but if money allo0ws I would buy two and maybe some for customs.

If you thought it was unreasonable to hope that we'll see a 1:12 scale ThunderCats line from Mezco, think again:

Music to my ears! If that the case at least there is the opportunity to make everyone happy!
