Hey guys i am now in contact with Jordan from Hollywood Heroes concerning the Mad Bubbler. Even though I cannot make out a front page article but I have already promised front page coverage of the piece to give the piece more exposure as well as exposure for HH. Free advertising but its the only way we can say thank you.

He will also be sinding me prototype pictures of.....Red Eye as well as an Astral Moat Monster.

Could someone commit on doing up the article and putting it on the front page once i get more pictures and info. Thanks guys

Can we get a crack at buying these? I would be able to pull some money together.

Contact Jordan either via PM or through their website.

His email to me was Mad Bubbler found...and for sale. My best guess is that it will go on sale via auction but if you can work something out with him offline he can save on the fees, etc.

Send him a PM or email him at jordan@hollywoodheroes.com

I hope nobody minds that I went ahead and posted this to the front page already. I think it would be best to get something up straight away.

Once all details are received from Jordan, we can then hopefully make a big round up post of the news as well as any additional details ;)

I'd love to get this piece for the site, but I'm not sure how that would work to be honest.... If it goes on Ebay I will likely bid even if I don't win it lol Be nice if a board member manages to buy it.

and wow oh wow Red Eye too! :o Can't wait! I posted a little hint to that at the end that front page news entry ;) Hopefully it might get casual browsers to come back for more news

yeah these are awesome finds cant wait to see the red eye and astral moat. Ill be bidding on the bubbler, will prob have to sell off my whole collection to make up the funds if I win but itd be worth it.

Ok guys keep this info to yourselves and within the team. Just got off the phone with Jordan and there is much more coming. He has roughly 15-20 pieces to include:

Feliner
Luna Tacker
Mad Bubbler
Red Eye
Cannon Blaster (painted)
Quick Jaws (painted)

Plus many more such as an alternate color of Pumyra...

By the way all the pieces come from a former LJN Employee who actually built them. All the prototypes by the way are working and Red Eye is unique in that its chest opens up and shoots some sort of disc or propeller.

I will be getting pics very soon but i must say that they may not all go on the market at once and may be posted gradually

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! :o

Folks mouths are gonna hit the floor! This is amazing. At a guess the owner is parting with them now because of the new series just around the corner which will peak everyone's interest ;)

Aww I hope they got the Thunder Strike too!! That is my most anticipated. But wow I never dreamt we see so much cool stuff! :o

Yeah they will stagger sales I bet over next year. Selling too close will limit folks bids on each, whereas space them apart the same bidder might be able to bid on them all ;)

I think I'm mostly interested in buying the Mad Bubbler....I'd like the vehicles like any fan would, but space is an issue....something like Mad Bubbler or Red Eye would be nice....

Manny do you know if Jordan has a guide price and does he usually sell this kinda stuff on Ebay?

Ill probably ask him if there is a Thunderstrike in the mix, he did say that many of the pieces are painted and were most likely the ones used for the catalog pictures. He actually asked my opinion on what the pieces would bring and I told him my best guess for Mad Bubbler would be about $5K. He mentioned a price tag of $10K for it which i quickly told him that it may be too high and beyond the price for many collectors so we will see. He threw out there a figure of $5K for Red Eye.

I also asked him what the sales venue would be and he doesnt know yet if it will be via Ebay like some pieces he has posted in the past. Or maybe he will get a good offline offer for some of the pieces and they may never see the public eye

Folks i may not have much to contribute but this latest round of news will be my focus for a while.

I was hoping we'd hear that as I'd prefer to see painted versions and you cannot get any better than the ones that sparked collectors interest in the first place!

The problem is this kinda thing has only happened once when the Feliner sold on Ebay back in the day when the nostalgia bug online first hit. These days more and more fans and collectors have got the bug. Though others have left the collecting community due to starting a family of their own. But we still have that core collecting group (not to mention folks who simply collect rare toys and not necessarily Thundercats toy fans....)

The Feliner sold for around £3000 (around $6700 US dollars) so this time around I think your looking at, at least $9000 (low estimate) for the Feliner.

However figures are a different kettle of fish, since we have never see any of the like, up for sale. I doubt any would sell for $10,000. I think $5k-6K each for Red Eye (5K) and Mad Bubbler (6K). Mad Bubbler will definately go down well, but I wonder if Red Eye will slightly fall shorter. Certainly neither should be let go for anything less than $4500

Ah...can you please tell him I'm interested, so if someone makes an offer, for him to come back to see if we wanna make a counter offer? I'd hate to miss out if someone made an offer and he took it without trying to get a counter offer. However I would prefer to buy via Ebay and it will be good publicity for the pieces too! ;)

Mine too! Hopefully we can work together on getting any pages up online covering these. It will be a good excuse to give Chris' Wordpress tutorial a go ;)

Wow . I can't believe it this is the biggest treasure trove of thundercats in a long long time. Holy god. I can see the prices being high on all of the pieces but pieces like red eye and cannon blaster and quick jaws being on the lower end as they arent pieces everyone is familiar with. I do see a core group of thundercats collectors bidding on these and then the rare toy collectors and then lastly the people looking to scalp these later on.

Manny def let me know how he is planning on selling them and when and hopefully we see more pics.

Does Jordan say why the employee is selling after all this time?

I also am very interested in the painted pieces.

I was thinking about it but I think Ill donate all my pics and articles to the site as I dont know when Ill get the time to actually work on it with work now

I didnt ask why the employee wants to sell now but my best guess is to maximize profits due to the revival of the series. As it stands I dont know yet when they will go on sale or what venue such as Ebay, etc. He said he will let me know and will send more pictures soon.

I am currently trying to get his client's information such as e-mail so that perhaps I can forward to him a panel of questions, sort of like a short interview. Im not sure how successful i will be in getting that information but hopefully at the very least i can forward the questions to Jordan and he can then forward it to his client

I do ask everyone to keep this info to yourself. Im sure by now Jordan is getting hammered with emails from people on the forums since he told me yesterday he had someone call already offering $2K for the Mad Bubbler

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the hands of Alex Bickmore just thinking of that today.

I don't like that guy, he's a dick. I really hope it doesn't....that would be bad news for the community...

Sorry for my french buut **** Alex...as Neil said he's a douche and a shame to the community

If you look on this link http://www.toyarchive.com/Thundercats/Thundercats.html at the bottom you'll see a sign that says looking desperately for this creature (Mad Bubbler)

Hey Matt, great to hear from you! :) Quick question - is the ThunderCats mini-figure material you prepared for this site still uploaded to your team directory folder? If so, one thing I'd love to do next year (once the new version of the site has been up a short while), with yours, Neil's and MannyC's permission, is get all of that content added to the site. I think we're missing a trick not having it online and I know you worked your butt off to get it all together - LMK if you still have all that material available to access! :)

Take care... :)

Ive never personally dealt with Alex but the quote manny used is what made me think of him winning it.

At Chris
Yeah I have access to it. The stuff I have includes my write ups on the minis, knockoffs bootlegs (cant remember if this was already submitted), Merch, and all of the pics I have for these plus my foreign collection including my Glasslite collection and Playful collection, and misc stuff ive come across such as protos for non toys. One of the reasons I never got this stuff up is actually doing all the html stuff etc for the webpage is beyond my comprehension if that makes sense another is I just stopped collecting for a long time and hence stopped coming to the site

Hey Matt, thanks for that - if you could point me to where you have all that material uploaded, I'd be very happy to add getting it online to my list of jobs. I can't say exactly when I'd be able to do it, but I would love to see it all online as I know you spent a hell of a lot of time and effort getting it all put together! :)

I've spent an intense couple of years immersed in website design and am now (if I say so myself) of a very good standard on that front, so whilst I can't take on doing the whole HTML for the entire ThunderCats Lair site because it's so massive, I'm very happy to help out when and where I can - particularly when it comes to adding awesome and unique content! :)

Take care... :)

I don't mind at all you putting the Mini figures up Chris. Infact I'd appreciate it! :)

Actually my little project this weekend is finally scanning my Thundercats Panini Sticker Album and complete set of stickers...but any ideas where it could go? Would it be an idea to turn the 'Comics' section into Comics and Books? That way we could also stick the annuals in there as well.... Or I'm happy for it to go in Merchandise as originally planned.

The reason I'm doing it, is because I plan to put it up for sale on Ebay this weekend. I'm having a bit of a clear out and decided to stick to Thundercats toys only collecting. Anyway wish me look at it could take a while to get all the stickers scanned!!!

Awesome! As I say, it won't be any time really soon, but something I'd love to see online at this site in 2011, I don't think I've ever seen a decent guide to the TCats mini-figures anywhere and it seems a sin that we've had this stuff that Matt worked so hard on for three years now and have done nothing with it - now I have the HTML skillz, as I say I'm really enthusiastic to help get stuff like this online! :)

Yikes, good luck with that Neil, that sounds like a pretty epic job! Looking forward to seeing them all, I've never seen inside the TCats Panini Sticker Album! :)

I must be honest and say that I think even if the Comics Section became "Comics & Books" I'd probably be inclined to include the sticker album in the Merchandise Section as I think it fits more naturally in there. :)

I'd also still be inclined to make "Books" a sub-section of the Merchandise area, although you make a very good point about the UK Annuals because they were all produced (or at least co-produced) by Marvel and feature comic stories by Marvel writers and artists so in a way they fit well into the Comic Section too - decisions, decisions, LOL! :D

Take care... :)
