wonder how much the license cost be?

Bandai still owns the license right? Does anyone know how long they have it for or if there is any kind of clause where if they stop producing the license becomes available again?

I was always under the impression that if a toy company owns a license they have full right to sell it to the highest bidder, if they want!

The problem is nobody is willing to invest in this property right now #smh

I think we're out of luck for now. Just be glad they're still making the minimates and mezco figures. I don't think we'll see any new toys from the NS at all. The only thing we might see is from the OS for the foreseeable future.

The best thing to hope for, I think, is that in a few years (hopefully not too long), someone will come along and try again, and mix the best parts of the NS and the OS for a new show and blow our minds.

+1. I want the animators that worked on Avatar or GI Renegades to a new series. Hopefully if the new Turtles movie does good, some director will take a chance on this and MOTU.

I would love that. It took such a long time for the NS I hope we dont have to wait that long again. I would have thought that based on the original viewers of the OS age (late 20's, early 30's), now would have been a great time to make a comeback with most have a healthy enough income to spend and kids to share the NS with. I hope Thundercats is given another chance for the OS fans and a new generation to enjoy.

Yes. I want a "ThunderCats" reboot that's done right. :)

We loyal fans should all put our money together and buy the license from WB!

Thank you! Any amount of donations are welcomed, I'm sure we have to find the right personnel to be in charge of the specifics to get this thing started...like a website for starters.

Any ideas that can help push this project off are surely appreciated...Ho!

I wonder how feasible that would really be? It would certainly be exciting!

I believe first we need to have a consensus on what we really want. Few options:

1) Authentic replica of old figures like MOTU 200X.

Personally, i like that. Plus any toy company should pitch for this first as it will be a) cost effective b) they can test the market easily for demand. Star Wars Vintage Collection perfect example.

2) Classics like MOTUC or TMNT Classics

Scale should be 6 inch. :liono

Perfect all around! ^_^

That's a fresh idea! The 80's reissue line would sell like hot cakes.

I just think the figures this time around would be made a little bit more sturdier...I remember my dad buying me one lion-o figure everyday because I would always break the arm when I was a baby xD

I wold buy both lines! classics commemorative re-issues with expanding line figures and a new classics line.

for the record I suggested a commemorative line way back bout 3 years ago and someone (i think one of the moderators here) shut down my idea claiming that it would ruin the collectibility of the originals....take a look at this past thread http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6970

I don't believe it will ruin the collectibility of the originals infact because of their affordability we will more new individuals interested in the line.
#38
I'd really love to see a "ThunderCats" reissue line.
#39
:-) I KNOW!! THATS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID....i would go crazy buying commemorative...imagine if they expanded the line further.....

I would honestly really like either way! Reissues would be cool, especially if we get the Lunataks, Quick Pick, Mandora etc. (there are so many...) but I honestly think I would rather see a new classics line (as long as they are well done).
