Hi gang,

Just a note to all the Mods to keep an eye on this thread: http://www.thundercatslair.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7069 . :)

I don't want to nuke it as I don't think the thread itself represents a danger to our site...

...BUT, I would say any actual links to the leaked footage need nuking instantly, as WB will come down like a ton of bricks on any website that leaks this footage, or even links to leaks of this footage! :(

If any of the other Mods or Admins feel that the thread itself is a risk, please feel free to take whatever action you guys feel is appropriate, I won't be offended! :)

Take care... :)

I think it's cool to stay up. However any posts that link to or allude to the location of the files must be deleted. Also anyone stating "pm me for the link" in their post ;)

Otherwise it's not our problem. Its Warner Bros. to deal with.

Yep, that's pretty much my view as well. I'm guessing you saw my post, Neil - I tried to be uncharacteristically direct, hope it came over OK, LOL! ;)

While I understand why you don't want links posted etc, my reaction when I saw the thread was what is even the point? If you're not going to be able to let other people see it, it's like some kind of weird...gloating? But maybe I'm in the minority opinion here.

Well folks have and are watching it (which we can't control) and it's only natural that they want to discuss what they have seen. It kinda kills the buzz if we tell them they can't discuss it!

At the same time we want to show respect to WB by not having links up. It's similiar to the movie script (which I was against being left up all along!) I'm not worried WB will have a go at us if we leave a link posted to the YouTube channel, but I'd sooner stay professional by showing them respect.

Chris here...

I have to be honest and say that my sole reason for wanting to keep any direct links to the YouTube video off of this site is because of potential backlash from WB - I'm told that this video was leaked someplace else earlier but was pulled, probably because of a "Cease & Desist" from WB. I don't want us in that firing line. :(

However, if I thought we would get away with it, then nothing would give me greater pleasure than to share the link with all our forum members - as far as I'm concerned the leak is Warner Bros' problem! ;)

I must confess I don't see anybody gloating, as you put it Angie, in that thread - like Neil says, folks who've seen it will want to discuss what they've seen and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I haven't seen anyone going "I've seen it and you haven't, nyah nyah!" :D That's not meaning to shoot down your POV (I've too much respect for you to do that), but just saying I personally don't see it that way. :)

I must admit I do find myself wondering whether WB have leaked this on purpose to generate buzz, as why are there only short clips rather than a full episode? It would be a smart play if they did. The "leaked movie test footage" that turned up, AFAIK is still online so WB have done nothing about it. But, for the minute as far as this site is concerned, I prefer to play it safe! ;)

Take care... :)

Scanned through first 4+ pages, didn't see anything. There is a link to an article, I scanned the article and didn't see any links to a video.

Edit: Question... Do you think it would be ok for us to discuss the content in that thread? Or as the mod/admin team should we avoid participating in that discussion other than to remind folks not to post links or hints about how to find it? There were parts that jumped out at me and makes me want to discuss those spoilers.

I'd like to hear Neil's opinion on this, but my own $0.02 is that it's fine for Mods to discuss the content of the video but probably not a good idea for us Admins (Neil, MannyC and myself) to let on that we've seen it - again, me being ultra-cautious! ;)

I must admit I've been very tempted to jump in and go "OMG that was AMAZING!" because I must admit having seen the footage I really loved it (especially the scene with Claudus and Lion-O) but decided it was wisest not to! ;)

Also, just to add that the YouTube video of it has been nuked, I assume by WB - so I think we can assume this is an unauthorised leak. :)

Take care... :)

Saw the video too but im not going to discuss it on the forums and besides there are plenty of forum members already discussing it

I think mods are fine to discuss it as they like. At the end of the day we are all fans and we were all, always going to view the video too and I think the members assume this anyway.

To be honest I think we can all discuss it as we didn't nuke the links to spitefully stop anyone seeing it (like I said it's not our fault it got leaked!) but the aim was to respect WB's property and remain professional by complying with them. As fans we have no moral obligation to deny ourselves getting the same peak everyone else has.

I won't post my personal opinion until I have seen the episodes as an whole. There are bits I dislike, but overall I'm pleased with it as well.

But yeah I think we are ok to join the discussion.

I must have found a different one then. I just checked and the one I found last night is still online.

I think I'll hold off on joining the discussion. We've only got 3 weeks til the premier, so not much point speculating on a sentence.

Chris here...

Here's an interesting one - somebody has posted a link on our Facebook page to an external website (www.comicbookresources.com) that itself links to the YouTube video of leaked footage - do I leave it or nuke it??

Take care... :)

Unless its a direct link to the video itself, I'd say leave it.

Ha, looks like WB beat me to it - the page itself has been removed! ;)

And just to correct myself, the site was actually www.comicbookmovie.com, not Comic Book Resources as I posted earlier! :)

Take care... :)

It's in the leaked footage thread, but he does say "trailer". But a previous post by him claims to have downloaded the video.

I say nuke the post to be safe. But await a second opinion.
