I'm noticing indiabluesplit is making threads (some interesting and helpful to fans and collectors) and once getting the info he wants, then deleting the thread.....while he isn't breaking any rules, I'm finding this a bit annoying....

Thought I'd bring it up to see what others think about this....:)

Chris here...

To be honest, to a large degree they're his threads and I think he can do what he likes with them. :)

Maybe the thing to do would be to send him a friendly PM and tell him he doesn't need to do that if he doesn't want to, as there may be info contained within that's helpful and useful to other collectors who look over these forums at some stage in the future. What do you think? :)

Take care... :)

Lately we have been in close PM touch with indiabluesplit and we have been talking about various things

Yeah, try to find out why he's doing this :) and make it clear he doesn't need to! I'm an huge 80's toy fan and I'm still learning about ThunderCats toys via these forums (so it saddens me to see such informative topics be nuked!) :(

Merged Post:
Just received his reply, i am copy, pasting it exactly as i got it:

'The threads i deleted were threads that had multiple threads already...an example is the Tongue-A-Saurus thread. there are already three or four of them...

What i asked Manny was to make certain threads into stickies and combine the multiple threads, example - all the posts about Lion-O could be one sticky called "Lion-O - Questions and answers" same with the tongue-a-saurus. Manny did make the Ebay updates thread a sticky for me but no-one knows i am updating it because i can't post on top of my previous posts, so i end up with one, really long post at the end...take a look when you get time

I didn't delete them because i got the information i was after, or anything malicious like that, i was just trying to do my part to keep the forums clean and uncluttered.

Keep me in mind if you need another moderator!'

His intentions were good!! he just wanted to save us space and avoid overloading the forum. I don't remember coming across to such a thoughtful and scrupulous member before!! But, even though he does have a point, i don't think it works that way and it is so easy to combine threads by different members.

What do you think guys?

On a side-note,
indiabluesplit has asked me if we could change his User Title from Berbil to Zombie Master. I tried through the moderator control panel but once i change it, it can be saved. What's wrong?

Also, he wanted a bigger PM box but it goes without saying there is a limit already set.

Best,
Orestes

Thanks Lordore. I'll do some editing and combine some threads :)

and it was actually me who made the eBay thread a sticky for him! lol

As for PM and User title privelages, they come based on amount of time with the forum. I think after so long you can change your title yourself?

You can't. Only an admin can.

Ok, do you think you could change his Title to Zombie Master? indiabluesplit politely asked if that is possible.
