well supposedly she was the least liked of the new cats. gee I wonder WHY?!
I know of an episode that needed a completely rewrited, or just a complete erasure from the history. I'll give you a hint. It involved a boiling barbarian babylonian boiler.

That episode doesn't need a re-write. It needs to be obliterated completely from existence!!!! ;)

The ONLY thing I liked about that episode was the ending when mumm-ra dug ma-mutt out of the ruins of that stupid thing and promised to be nicer to him. everything else is trash.

''Mumm-Ra Lives'' 1-5. In a complete re-write I would do something far more interesting with the Mutants and Plundarr.

I feel Mumm-Ra shouldn't have been brought back to life immediately after he was supposedly destroyed. There should have been a gap of at least a few Mumm-Ra-less episodes, making the characters and the audience believe that he is really gone. Then when he makes his comeback, it would create a much powerful impact.
Even in the comics when they kill off a major character, a few issues go by before he/she is brought back to life.

That's why I am not a huge fan of superhero comics.
I would also have done things very different with the Lunatacks. ;)

I know what you mean. I've lost count of how many times Superman has "died". But you can't really blame the comic writers. They have to keep the excitement levels (and sales) up. Initially it was a great "gimmick" but I think by now most people have gotten used to it so they don't use it too often. But it does happen in TV series' still.

Like not feature them in any episode at all? :D

The only real thing that bothered me with mumm-ra lives was the lunataks which take up a lot of the 5 parters screentime. They could have done something better with it. I mean the animation is real good in that five parter but it feels a little wasted. Course with me being a mumm-ra fan The only interesting bits of the five parter involved mumm-ra. XD
I got some idea major rewriter episode ideas. ANY episode involving the "Lynx-O is blind" gimmick. That seriously seemed to be his only defining characteristic. Blind old thundercat. There's something weird I noticed bout Lynx-O as well. Out of the thundercats that were main kitties he looks the least human. I wonder why....

I would rewrite a season-one episode, "The Ghost Warrior," to say that Grune is immune to Thundranium due to him being more feline than most Thunderians. :)

I agree. It was criminal how underutilized Pumyra was!
That being said, if I could, I'd rewrite many of season 4 (or season 2's last third, or whatever... anyway, the living in New Thudnera episodes) where the action was taken in Third Earth to include Pumyra and Tygra in those. I mean, weren't they left behind precisely to take care of Third Earth? Then whjy not calling them when Third Earth was threatened instead of having almost all the TCs in New Thundera travelling back there?
I mean, so unliked and mistreated were Tygra and Pumyra that weren't given even the missions for what they were abandoned?

We can't say we didn't see the Lunataks as a real threat in "Mumm-Ra Lives"; they were poprtrayed pretty threatening there. Remember Tug-Mug breaking the SoO? I guess no one expected that. And they defeating and capturing the TCs in the last episode of the arc? (Ok, too fast and silly howe they got captured, but still). It's what they did with the Lunataks after that arc what killed them for me.
Agree with the "being blind is no disadvantage at all" thing. It was exhausting to watch. There should have beem at least one episode in which it was precisely Lynx-O's blindness what got him in trouble. It would have been nice to see how he overcame that, but I guess it'd have also been "discriminatory" in those years.

Or at least him getting lost somewhere where he'd never been before and being completely unable to get out of there on his own. Like he gets into a predicament and he winds up being stuck in an awful place and the bad guys lunata, mutants, whatever know he cannot get out BECAUSE he is blind and the place requires being able to see to escape from. so the other thundercats have to find him and rescue him.

The later episodes where the Sword of Omens fixes everything could use some serious rewriting.

I have no idea what Starr was thinking when he did those episodes. I would really like to think his hand was forced buy Rankin Bass and Peter Lawrence's suggestions.

I know of a certain episode that could have been re-written or at least taken place in a different season of the show where it would have made SENSE!

A magical item that makes Mumm-Ra four times more evil seems silly. I like to think that he was four times more evil when he got bulkier and fought Lion-O in the "ThunderCubs" finale.

No one can be "more evil" because of a device or item; either someone's evil or not. It would have made more sense to say he would have been four time smore powerful, stronger, or whatever. I mean, what would being four times more evil would have implied? That he would have killed the TCs at first chance? That he would have destroyed Third Earth or New Thundera for good? He didn't stop doing that because he wasn't evil enough, but because he was silly LOL.
