I was just thinking. If a TC movie did come out, what changes would yo made if it were inn your hands? Would you include some characters? Eliminate ones? Fuse two into one? Base it on the old series or the new ones?

Here my 2 cents:

  • Eliminate Bengali (sorry, Benagli lovers).
  • Include Pumyra and Lynx-o from the beginning, making them Noble TCs as well.
  • Have Pumyra in a teen age, between the kittens and Lion-o and the rest of the TC. The kittens could be childish, and Pumyra and rebelious teen entering adulthood adn starting to understand reasons, making her an ambivalent character.
  • Eliminate one of the kittens? Could be, but I'll go with NO.
  • No Lunattacks, no Mumm-Rana, no Mandora.
  • Yes to Mumm-Ra and the Mutants (including Ratar-O) as the main villains. Maybe there I'd go with some of the new series' names and personality traits for the bad guys.

If I was making a Thundercats movie I would stick close to the source material and base it on the first 3-4 episodes of the original series as I think that is a pretty solid origin story.
Maybe a few very small cameo appearances with Grune, Vultreman, Rataro, Bengali, Lynx-o and Pumyra at the begining fleeing Thundera or on board the ships.
Although I would make a few little tweaks to it to set up a couple sequels.

Make it an even more dark and gritty version of Exodus.

I wholly agree with Mark. Something based closely on the source material but slightly updated to appeal to a more mature audience as well.

If it was done right (I don't just mean my idea I mean WB deciding their target audience, getting good writers and actors etc) it could be absolutely brilliant.
