Hi all,

Patrick Wang from Icon Heroes has kindly agreed to field our interview questions on the ThunderCats stactions line that we're all excited to see at Comic Con and beyond.

So go ahead and post any question you've been dying to have answered by the guys behind the stactions. We'll submit the questions and post the answers here on the site.

Will any stactions be made of characters not produced in the original toy line such as Willa, Mandora, the Lunatacks, etc?

If any question I ask seems too odd, feel free to skip it. I have not done as much homework on the Icon Heroes line as the Hard Hero or Pop Culture Shock lines, so I may be asking redundant or non-applicable questions...

Will figures be made to sit in the vehicles, or will they be designed to display like a mini-air museum?

If figures are made to fit on/in the vehicles, will the vehicles be designed so the figures can be put in/on any vehicle or will the figure be permanently attached to the vehicle? IE, can the Lion-O that comes with the ThunderClaw fit in the HoverCat (if made), and take the figure that comes with the ThunderTank (if made) and fit on the ThunderClaw?

Will the bases with the individual figures be interlocking to make a more unified display piece?

How will Cat's Lair be designed? Will it be shrunk to be about the same size as a vehicle? Will it be a little larger than the vehicles, but still not to the same scale as the the figures? Or will it be a massive item that is close to being on the same scale as the figures?

If Cat's Lair is much larger than the vehicles, will it ship as one item, or will it be a case where as you buy other items you get the various parts to put it together? IE, the right arm comes in the ThunderClaw box, left arm in the next vehicle, etc.

Will there be any movable parts with Cat's Lair? Positioning of head, open/closed doors, arms up or down?

Will there be multiple variations of each figure? There is a standing Lion-O and there is a Lion-O that comes with the ThunderClaw, I am guessing the one with the vehicle will be a different pose at least from the one we have already seen. Will a different figure come with each vehicle? IE, Tygra with the HoverCat (if made), Panthro with the ThunderTank (if made), etc.

Aside from the SDCC exclusive, will there be exclusives in the future, and if so will they be main characters, or something like the Berbils where one place may have Berbil Bill and another have Berbil Bell, etc?

Edit: Forgot to ask one more I had on my mind...
Will the figures and vehicles be based more from the cartoon, comic, or LJN toyline? IE, will Kit & Kat's boards be flat and oval (like cartoon), or have a raised edge and arrow head shaped (like LJN Toyline)?

aero has pretty much covered most of the questions i'd like to ask though:

1) How many staction figures are you planning on producing for the Good side as well as the Evil?

2) The release date for each new figure is estimated in a mothly basis? Also, what is the suggested price per figure and vehicle?

thanks

I don't know how fitting these questions are for the 6'' staction figures but i was wondering:

1)The sculptor or artist designer doing the Lion-o recent figures will be the same for all of the Thundercats products?

2)Did you go through a variety of preliminary sketches and designs by many artists, prior to deciding the final version or you had already chosen the man who will work on them in the first place.

Thanks for an enlightening Interview Grizz.

Answering my question, i see now why their first Staction Lion-o is so different in Cartoon accuracy, visual presentation and overall quality from the upcoming Jackalman and from the looks of it, Jaga as well. As Patric Wang stated there are a few sculptors working on the line so each one must be doing another figure. I hope the artist doing Jackalman will have a central role in the manufacturing process from now on.

Holy Jaga!! He is so awesome with the Helmet on,

Jaga looks great, good to know they will be releasing one statue every 6-8 weeks.

Are there any other questions you'd like us to pose for Icon Heroes?
