HUGE plot hole in Thundercats series?

There have been plenty of talks about all the inconsistencies and goofs in the original TC cartoons. But the one thing that I feel construes as a huge plot hole is the time that it takes for the TCs to first travel from Thundera to Third Earth. It leads to many other inconsistencies and anomalies in the stories.

It is made quite clear in "Exodus" that Third Earth is light years away from Thundera. That is why the TC's get into the Suspension capsules to greatly slow down their ageing and so they are pretty much the same age when they reach Third Earth (except for Lion-O, of course). Now this is where the problem starts:

1. If the trip lasted hundreds of years, did Jaga also live for that many years? We see that he dies only when the ship has almost reached Third Earth. So all these centuries he was alive?

2. This means that the Mutant ship also must have suspension capsules and that they too made the trip in suspended animation just like the TCs.

3. This also means that the RoBear Berbil ship also must have suspension capsules and they and the three new TCs also traveled to Third Earth in suspended animation.

So if hundreds of years passed from the time that Thundera was destroyed to when the TCs and Mutants arrive on Third Earth, then:

1. Why are Vultureman and Ratar-O still alive and haven't aged a day?
2. Why are all the Thunderian refugees still alive and haven't aged a day?
3. Why are all the Snarfs still alive and haven't aged a day? Snarf knew Osbert and Eggbert and his nephew Snarfer before the destruction of Thundera. Then a hundred years later, Snarf hasn't aged because he was in the suspension capsule but neither have any of the other Snarfs.

What are your thoughts on this?

You would have though the Mutants would have launched another attack n greater number on the lone surviving starship from the original convoy.

The whole business of Thunderian refugees is dodgy anyway, as they were all killed in the very first episode.

Maybe Thunderians, Mutants, Berbils and Snarfs age at a different range?

I think the Mutants didn't travel in suspension capsules as they -as far as we know- didn't know where the Thunderian ship was heading to. They might have been following it. As Liam said though, it's a mystery whay they didn't attack it in all that time.

Berbils are robots/cyborgs bears, maybe they don't age at all... About Bengali, Pumyra and Lynx-O, maybe the Berbils that picked them up did have some suspension capsules for them.

It's possible but it means that only Thunderias age like normal humans while the rest age very very slowly or don't age at all. And if Snarfs don't age at the same rate as Thunderians then there was no need for Snarf to go into the suspension capsule.

Again, since the trip from Thundera to Third Earth took the TCat Flagship so many years, the Mutants who were following them would also have been traveling for that many years. That is why I question their lack of aging.

If that is true, and I suspect it is, then why would robotic bears who don't age carry around suspension capsules on their ship??

What is even funnier is why do robotic bears need to eat???

Grune time on third earth before the arrival of the Thundercats is also confusing.

KosmoKat, I have the same doubts as you, I was just trying some far-fetched explanations LOL.

About the Mutants, Slithe is a reptile, and reptiles live for a very long time, so he might be dismissed. Now, Jackalman and Monkian is another story.

Berbils are a complete mistery. Maybe their food is stuffed with some kind of fuel for their robotic parts? Maybe candyfruit is like oil for them LOL
