Hard Hero Mumm-Ra Update

Hi just got this message from comics infinity where I have my Mumm-Ra on order

"I just heard back from our supplier who spoke with Hard Hero today. The Mumm-Ra statue has been delayed indefinitely. It’s still being made, but apparently they had some problems with production, so they do not have a release date for it at this point. It sounds like it could be a while"

So no Christmas present:D for the Thundercats fans!!

Does this apply to Bengali too??

According to my source at Hard Hero, Ben Gali will be released before Mumm-Ra. As of my last update, they were hoping to get Ben Gali shipped from the factory sometime this month. But that info was relayed a few weeks ago.

My guess is since BBTS is getting Ben Gali as an exclusive, they are pushing him though before Mumm-Ra. But that is just my guess.

These long delays make me more and more worried they'll never complete a set of main cats. Which will kill it, having a set of cats but no Wilykittens for example. Especially since after getting cheetara, they are blow your mind, amazing statues.

Actually i am starting to get a bit worried about this too, coming January, it will be one year since Lion-o has been released and after reading the latest updates it's very likely that the total count will be 2 Statues per year.. Bengali was supposed to come out November, Mumm-Ra December and Tygra January..,But from the looks of it, the delays will cause the release dates to fall behind schedule.

I remember from Jerry's interview saying that his company owed the Thundercats license from WB for three years, now Rob Potts has never made it clear for how many years Hard Hero has the rights to producing Thundercats but he had stated ''we plan to keep them coming on a regular schedule every month or two'', which apparently hasn't been confirmed thus far.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole line doesn't make it in the end...

I too am starting to have some worries about the line continuing. HOWEVER, let's not forget the original schedule had the first 3 statues coming out at an average of 1 per quarter, or about every 3 months. Cheetara had lots of delays and was finally released in mid-September. If we adjust the timing based on that, the next one should be around mid-December if they were able to get back on track.

If we get to January 1st without any official update on when the next one is coming out, then I will really be worried. Until then, I am just slightly worried.

There are some news about the Hard Hero Statues?
We are already in the end of the year and the delays are evident but there isn't an official position!
Someone may contact Rob Potts?

I have tried to contact my source twice since late November. But I have not heard back yet. I don't know if that is a bad sign, if the person has been out of their office that long, or if they decided to stop relaying info.

I have my fingers crossed they have been on a long holiday vacation.

I am pretty concerned too. I expected Bengali at least to make it before the year's end but from the looks of it, no Christmas present from Hard Hero.

The question is what is going to happen with Tygra and the estimated January release date?Probably all their statues will be puched back...

Yesterday i e-mailed Hard Hero, as soon as/and if they reply i will pass the information

Slithe was to be after Tygra but with all these delays maybe HH are worried they wont get all the heros done and thats why Jaga and Panthro have moved up and Mumm-Ra pushed back.
In that email there is no mention of Ben-gali which is worring as we may not see Big Bad or another company taking Pumyara and Lynx-o as exclusives I know the villians are important but would rather have a full set of the cats including Kit/Kat and Snarf

Correct, the same thoughts crossed my mind too. At the interview with Pop Culture Shock, the three years contract was mentioned, now if the same goes for Hard Hero then given that we have entered the second year and so far there's a basis of two statues per year(at least for the first), HH either has to step up a gear or chop and change the Statues planned to be produced...

It's time Rob Pots gave us some clear answers, maybe Grizzlor could contact him. :oops:

I am taking that post with a grain of salt... It would not be logical to skip 2 statues that you have put that much time and effort into already. I could see Ben-Gali getting pushed along before Mumm-Ra due to the exclusive factor. But to push Tygra ahead of both really does not make any sense.

While I do try to avoid calling people non-truth speakers (liars), I find it odd that this person apparently got a response from Hard Hero when myself and at least one other member on this forum have been trying to get info from Hard Hero with no response at all as of yet. It is possible, I guess. But I doubt it is completely accurate. And the change to the production order (skipping Slithe and doing Panthro and Jaga) also makes me question the accuracy of that post.

I do wish Hard Hero would release more info publicly. For those of us who pre-ordered Ben-Gali, we've been waiting 5 months wondering when our bank account will have a charge. At least with Mumm-Ra we can do Easy Pay payments, which mine is now paid in full so I don't have to worry about a "surprise" charge to my account whenever he gets released.

As aero mentioned i am a bit skeptical about the authenticity of this post. I send my e-mail on 20-12-2010. Since then i've received no word and it's quite strange because all the previous times i asked them something, their response was prompt and straightforward. And HH replied the next day to this guy!!! It's unfair treatment;) LOL

Also, another reason i am questioning it, is the details on the supposedly upcoming statues(Panthro, Jaga), it's the first time Rob Potts announced that,and decides to do so through a fan!! It's hard to swallow...Unless i am completely mistaken.

My e-mail(and i guess aero's too) wasn't asking any information on subsequent statues,besides why would they share them with me on this point, i just wanted to know the final release date, here it is:
