We've seen lots of teasers for this piece over the last few months (including the pic that the website Alternative Mindz posted on their website), so I'm very excited to see these close-up shots - I have to say, I think it's absolutely beautiful!
Take care... :)

I like it, but I dont love it... the neck looks off, it's to long.. The colors and details are all stunning and I'll be happy to add one to the collection. :)

Looks awesome, but is it really only 9.5 inches tall? That rather small considering the SDCC Mumm-Ra by them was 9 inches tall...

I think it looks outstanding, but I am not to sure about the size vs price. 9.5 inches tall is not too terribly big. I will have to see about it then it is actually released.
I think the colors are great, but as much as I think it looks great, something is a bit off in the neck/head area.
I literally I am trying to force myself not to buy ANYTHING for quite a while. Lately it seems like I have been doing nothing but buying way too much stuff and I still have something I ordered from WETA that is due to be hitting my credit card around February.

Why is there a notch back on both "arms" leading to the paws? This is obviously the lair built on Third Earth, but none of the lairs in the OS had a notch back there. The more I look at this, the more obvious that flaw is becoming. I can't look at any other features, my eyes are pulled to the arms.
I don't think the head/neck problem is length. The OS lair had a longer neck than you'd think, however, the angle of the head is off. It should be tilted up a bit more, even though the OS lair's head could turn side to side and angle up and down, the "resting" angle of the head was up more, looking out instead of down near the end of the drawbridge.

Its an iconic and striking piece but I have to agree, the neck and head are off. I feel like the lair itself needs to be more squat or something. The neck is too narrow and the curvature in the neck seams weird. Aside from that its nice to see the idea come to this stage.

It's supposed to be displayed in the background.
With a 9" Mumm-Ra statue, the Lair should be more than 7 feet tall.

It is pretty impressive, both the Lair and the Thundertank by Icon Heroes are very faithful to the original cartoon.
Thank you very much for the info, can the staction figures be placed on the Cat's Lair? Are there special holes to fit them in? And if yes, how many figs can it take?

Sorry the Cats Lair is not in scale with the staction figures. It is intended to display as a backdrop. To put this in scale with our staction figures would make it an extremely large piece.
