Episode Guide Status - UPDATED 21st March 2011

Chris, I'm ready to rock if you're ready to roll ;) Upload them just the same, and if you could, delete or move the old ones that have been done already if you haven't done so yet...that way I know what's current and won't get confused. Thanks!
Hey Angie, I'm ready to roll so let's rock! :D The Word documents have been uploaded to the same place as before, and the old ones have been deleted as suggested - many thanks! :)
I have now completed the write-up for the episode "Sixth Sense" as well, so that one's been uploaded to your folder too! ;)
Take care... :)

Great. I may have some time before work tomorrow to roll those out. Thanks!
Well, there's no pressure at all, but if you were able to get those done that quick that would be simply awesome! :) Thanks so much for all your help - Cheezey or no Cheezey, you are truly the Goddess of ThunderFandom! :D
Take care... :)
I have plunked your info into the templates, and all eps are up-to-date and uploaded into the finished folder. As before, they will have to be renamed 'index', but for now they sport the name of the ep title.
A few notes:
** Pretty sure you already mentioned it to him Chris, but just so others don't wonder what's going on, the quotes are waiting for a few drawings from Kyle - of Turmagar and Safari Joe. I took an educated guess as to where he'd upload those and what he'd call the image when he finished, but in case I'm off on that, feel free to tweak that or let me know and I'll fix it myself :)
** Speaking of Safari Joe, I wasn't sure if you mentioned it somewhere and I missed it Chris, but do you have any idea why the UK comics liked to list the comic based on this ep as 'Safari Jo'? Always struck me odd they dropped the 'e'. If you know and hadn't included that tidbit of trivia, it might be cool to note.
** I skimmed each page as I finished for random weirdness like the odd smart quote or whatever slipping through, but if any of you all spot a goof or something that needs corrections, please LMK - I do tend to just cruise through these, and it wouldn't shock me that goofs slip through.
** On the Turmagar ep, I did notice that when Chris mentioned the author's name, he wrote it as Trengrove. Double checking the title card shot on the ep, there's no second r - it's actually Trengove, so I fixed it. I hope you don't mind, and I'm not trying to nitpick (trust me, I always want to put that blasted second r in there too LOL) but I know how you guys are sticklers for wanting to be as accurate and consistant as possible so I figured I'd jump in there. If I'm out of line, I have a dead trout you can smack me around with ;)
** Along the same lines, I was wondering why the image of Slithe is spelt with a 'y' - I know fans tend to vary their spellings or favor one way over another (as though I'm one to talk...too lazy myself to get technical and include all the S's that are supposed to go in front of his name), but I'm pretty sure in the canon print material I've seen for him it's an i, not a y, as though his name were 'Slither' without the r. At any rate, Chris tends to use the i spelling and obviously, Kyle has used the y so there's a bit of inconsistancy on the Sixth Sense page as a result. I merely mention it for the sake of clarity and accuracy, but if it's a pain in the ass to fix don't worry about it. Just somethin' I noticed.
** Also on sixth sense, I included the link to the Tygra headshot Chris wanted, and I made the link target to a new window. I can't remember what your norm is on that so if you want the link to open in the same window, I can fix it. I just find the new window method handy as I know I tend to close the browser window a lot when sites do that, instead of remembering to back-button, and then I lose my place entirely >.< Up to you guys, though.
er, that's all for now. I suppose I ought to go work on my own site now ^_^

No worries, I should be able to sort those! However, here's the thumbnail for Safari Joe! ;)

Not out of line for one second, if I've made an error then I would always want someone to correct me! Having this stuff as accurate as possible is something that's of paramount importance to me, so you'll never be out of line making corrections, pointing out mistakes, or generally making me aware of my many goof-ups! :D Thanks for making the correction, it's much appreciated and very helpful! :)

Yeah, it's been like that since S-S-Slithe's encyclopedia entry was put together, although I'm embarrassed to admit it was some while before I noticed it! That's basically the button that Kyle created for the Encyclopedia, so I leave that side of things up to him. :)

If I'm honest, I can't remember what I normally do either! :D It's not a major deal, so I'd say stick with what you've done - in reality, if I haven't had pages launching in new windows before, the primary reason would be because I don't know the coding to make it happen, LOL! ;)

LOL, you are an amazing lady, thank you so much again for all your help with this stuff! I'll try and get those pages online and integrated into the Episode Guide itself later on this afternoon - I am absolutely knackered after last night's Larry podcast recording and (at nearly 3:00pm UK time) am resisting the urge to go back to bed! ;) But, I'm also fired and up and inspired to do TCats-related jobs, so I'll try and make sure that that's the urge that wins! :D
Take care... :)
And the only reason I really noticed the slithe thing right off, was I had to double check the image to be sure how he'd spelled it so the link would work ;) Otherwise, I may not have noticed for a while either.
Anyway, I made some edits to my previous post - if you get a chance, I'm curious to see what your thoughts are on some of my other points.

Thanks Chris. Uploaded the safari joe ep again with the pics in place - I forgot to check the others folder!
No problems! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean - I have to confess, how I always used to do it was go to the Encyclopedia index, find the thumbnail I wanted, click the properties and do a "copy-and-paste", that was the only way with my lack of HTML savvy that I could make it work!

I edited my own post to show a reply re: the Tygra headshot issue, but in response to this:

I have no idea why they did it, but I agree it could be a cool piece of trivia to add - nice one! :) The fact that Marvel did that is kind-of strange, as over here I guess that "Jo" would be the female spelling of the name, short for (I guess) "Joanna"!! :D
Take care... :)

If only I could spell I think I could double my productivity lol..
Just to let you all know the S-S-Slithe image and profile is now spelt correctly. I have left the file name spelt with a y though, just incase I broke any links in the episode guide.. Shouldn't be a problem (lmk and I can always change it if you want to re-evaluate the previous references of the image)

I think the way you've done it is best - I can't remember all of the occasions I've used a quote from S-S-Slithe, so as you say, leaving the file name the same means that, at least officially, none of the links in the Episode Guide should be broken. Awesome job there, my friend, and glad you don't mind Angie and myself referencing it! :)
EDIT: Oh, and BTW, in case you haven't checked already, you should now have an e-mail from me - I hope the contents are OK for you! :)
Take care... :)
Chris - yeah, over here in the states that would generally also denote a feminine version of the name...which is why I never got the reasoning for the UK issues dropping the 'e' on Joe. And actually, it's in the US version of the marvel issues as well.
Oh, and I double checked my script copy (and also discovered I have broken links on my scripts page :duh: uh, thought I fixed that a long time ago LOL...just got added to my list of things to do for the upcoming update  ) it's spelt that way all through the script and on the cover. Mind you it is the draft and not the studio copy, so perhaps they changed it along the way. But if Marvel was working off an early draft, that might could explain the variance.
Mystery solved? Funny how, I believe on the synopsis and morals bits, I believe they have the 'e' on there, as well as the title card for the ep.
Enough rambling...I have links to fix!
"Purrsia, post: 16816" said:
Kyle, you rock. Thanks so much ^_^ Good idea keeping the file name the same - better than going back and finding/fixing the html on other pages. People will never know unless they download it or look at the source code.
As is so often the case, Angie, our minds are as one! :)

LOL, that is awesome info! Yeah, I've tried to access a couple of the scripts on your site for reference for the Notes of Interest (which, BTW, I hope you don't mind me doing - if you find a reference on an Episode Guide page to something that was in the original script, 99% of the time that info will have come from viewing it on your site! ), and have come up with dead links. :( The note in "Sixth Sense" about the "Lion-O being pushed onto Cheetara" scene at the end was actually from a memory I have of you telling me that! ;)
Wow, the info you're providing about Safari Joe's name spelling is amazing! :) I definitely think this is something that should be added into the Notes of Interest - do you want to write it in there or should I? I love stuff like this! :D
Take care... :)
Mind you, I do check my links when I first create pages and those were working at one time. Best I can think of, is I had changed servers and when that happens, some files get dropped in the ftp transfer. http://www.thundercatsfans.org/tebforum/index.php?topic=525.0"" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">I know I had re-scanned those pages and fixed them at one time, but I did move the site again to another server this year, and I guess it really likes dropping those files in particular >.< I never thought to go check after I moved. Now I just gotta hope I backed up the script file locally or I'm going to be doing more scanning than I thought :x
And yeah, sixth sense is one of the broken ones, too, darn it. I just hope I can find the backup disc I mentioned in the referenced thread above to make it a bit less of a hassle to fix ;)
This is what I get for putting off getting organized lol!!

Dude, if you ever run across something broken on my site again, please let me know. I always wonder how long stuff like that is broken before I notice, and then I wonder why people never say anything. Can't fix it if I don't know ;)
LOL, sorry Angie! To be truthful, it was only a couple of days ago that I last tried to access them - I know technical stuff can happen during host moves, etc. I'll LYK if I find any others along the way! :)

Yikes, I feel for you there! I keep all of the scans I do backed up to my hard drive in case of just such an event, but am really lousy at backing them up to disc - if my hard drive crashed, I'd be stuffed! :(

At least you have a back-up disc, which makes you better organised than me! If my hard drive ever crashes, boy will I be in trouble! :(
Take care... :)
I am a little too back-up happy, maybe. I keep a local copy on the hard drive, but that one is an exact download of my live site, right down to the file structure etc so it has the same missing files of course! And then I usually have backups on file, too, in case as you pointed out, I have my computer die on me and god forbid, my server at the same time.
I like the discs, too, because after a while, I can't save to them anymore and have to make new ones, so I have years of my site saved a certain way and it's like a time capsule of sorts - for better or worse. My own way-back machine? ;) Problem is now, I have so many that it's hard to find the one with the right files I need on it. I had meant, back when this happened before, to consolidate a lot of my old site files on one dvd so I can find stuff double-quick...looks like that was one of the projects that got back-burnered.
So it's time to get sifting through them - yet again!
Edit for an update on the status: I found the disc, and uploaded everything a-fresh. All scripts should function now, Chris, so feel free to reference them anytime. There's some fun missing scenes in the draft ones, too. Or things, as with Sixth Sense, that weren't in early drafts but clearly came up later.
Also, I fixed a pdf file that wasn't downloading thanks to a coding error. That, I can't blame on ftp ;)
As usual, if I overlooked something, feel free to let me know.
Just to let you guys know that, thanks to Angie's amazing work, these four pages are now completed and online - plus, this means that two more pages are (at least pending adding the Fan Reviews) 100% complete! :)
"Safari Joe" - http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/cartoonguide/episodeguide/safarijoe/index.html
"Return of the Driller" - http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/cartoonguide/episodeguide/returnofthedriller/index.html
"Turmagar the Tuska" - http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/cartoonguide/episodeguide/turmagarthetuska/index.html
"Sixth Sense" - http://www.thundercatslair.org/cartoon/cartoonguide/episodeguide/sixthsense/index.html
The status thread shall be updated accordingly - now we're really rocking! :)

Hey Angie, these seem to be working great - I'm checking them out now! :)
EDIT: Just to add, Angie, that thanks to these script pages now being accessible I've updated the pages for both "Safari Joe" and "Sixth Sense" to include a couple of additional Notes of Interest. So, even when working on your own site, you're making a big difference to our Episode Guide! :D Thank you so much! :)
Take care... :)

MannyF: How are those amazing screenshots coming, my friend? These are really making a big difference and time saving to me! :) I was wondering if I could really cheeky and ask whether you'd be able to prioritise the next batch you upload to include the following episodes:
"Lion-O's Anointment First Day: The Trial of Strength"
"Mongor"
"Snarf Takes Up the Challenge"
"The Crystal Queen"
"Lion-O's Anointment Second Day: The Trial of Speed"
"Safari Joe"
"Turmagar the Tuska"
"Dr. Dometone"
The reason why I say this is because we aren't far off having the first 30 episodes completed, and at the present time we only have 10 of them "live" for folks to view on the site. If we could get the next 20 (so, up to episode 30) completed, I'd like to post an update to the site with those 20 episode pages, so that folks can see new stuff being added and that our Episode Guide isn't dead. What do you think? Again, please can you LMK? Many thanks! :)
Take care... :)
Gonna resize the screens for thumbs and it should up soon.

That's awesome news, my friend - thank you so much! :) I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I'm really thrilled with the way this project is going - thanks so much, everybody, for all your hard work! :)

Just to let you know whats going on :)

Hey Chris, I looked through my collection and I don't have much reference material for Turmagar the Tuska, otherwise it would have been done by now. Gunna have to re-capture from my episodes for him.

No problem, Kyle my friend - there's no pressure, as I need to get screenshots assembled and stuff before these pages can go online anyway. I'm just really grateful to you for all your help, and constantly amazed at your artistic speed, LOL! :)
Take care... :)
