Wordpress Instructions for publishing reviews
You should receive a Wordpress username and password by seperate e-mail. This is a website tool that allows us to create and edit pages without having to understand the coding that goes on behind the scenes. You can login from any page on the site except the forums, by going to the bottom of the page and choosing "log-in".
You can create a new Page by clicking on "+ New" and selecting "Page"

Key Steps
1) Make sure you attach this page to the correct section of the site by assigning a parent on the right side of the screen

2) Give the page a title which should be the name of the episode for example: Eye of the Beholder
Note that we use capital letters on each word except for diminutive words like and, the, of etc. You should be using the same name that appears in the Title Card image (more on this soon)
3) Paste a previous review into your working screen which will act as a template for pasting in the text and images that we've prepared for the review you're working on. We'll use the same episode for this each time. Navigate to the following link:
http://www.thundercatslair.org/animated-series/episode-guide/the-micrits/
Now click "edit page" on the top left

You're immediately in a window that allows you to make changes to that page. We're not going to make any edits though, we're only interested in copy all the content in the working window, so click into the working window, use your Ctrl + A and Ctrl + C...

Then tab back into the new page you're working on and paste using Ctrl + V into the main window.
Before you do anything further go back and close the page you began to edit (the live The Micrits episode) so that we don't lose or alter that completed review
4) Replace the content from the template review with the content we've prepared for the actual review you're working on.
4A - Replace the title text and 'Written by' text
4B - Replace the title card. The new title card image will be found by clicking on the link following, and finding the correct episode and then navigating to the correct folder: http://thundercatslair.org/cartoon-images/episodeguide/

Open that link and then you can click the image with your left mouse click button and drag the image across into the working Wordpress window and drop it in to replace the old Title Card image from the template. It's best to delete the old image first and then drop the new image in next to the anchor image, it makes the spacing work out nicely. Center the image using the toolbar above.
Your working page should now look like this:
4C - Replace the Rankin Bass Synopsis image and text
First you'll need to go back to the images folder where you found the title card. Go to the screencaps folder and pick your favourite image from the 12 listed there. Keep that image open in a browser tab and go back to your Wordpress working window. Scroll down to the table where the Rankin Bass Synopsis image is from The Micrits and delete it. Now use the same mouse left click drag and drop to move your selected screencap from the open tab into the small space left in the table. Drop the image in there, it's a small space so you have to be precise with your mouse. The image will need to be reduced in size by dragging a corner inwards until it's the same size as the old image.
To replace the text we'll be borrowing the Synopsis from another site. We have these saved somewhere on our site too so we're not plagiarizing I just can't find it at the moment. http://www.thundercatsfans.org/tcshow/synopsis
Find the corresponding Synopsis text and copy / paste it into the right side of the table.
4D - Replace the Episode Morals in the same way you completed 4C
4E - Replace the Official TCL review of The Micrits with your own review
4F - Replace the Notes of Interest in the table. Note that you'll need to get used to manipulating the table by adding rows and deleting rows depending on how many Notes of Interest you are inputing.
4G - Insert the Screencaps. Best way to do this is to first delete the top row's six screencaps in the table. Then have your tab open to the images folder and choose the 'Thumbnails' folder. Open and then drag and drop images 1 - 6 into the top row of the table you're working in. Then delete the bottom row and repeat this time dragging and dropping images 7 - 12 into the corresponding cells.
4H - Link the thumbnails to the full size screencaps. First click on the image then click on the 'link icon'

Then paste in the URL that leads to the full size screencap image of the corresponding thumbnail. The URL would look like this:
http://thundercatslair.org/cartoon-images/episodeguide/053-monkiansbargain/screenshots/1.jpg
Now repeaat this step for the other 11 images but when you paste the URL just make sure you replace the number before the '.jpg' extension. Do this for numbers 2 - 12.
Now click the Blue PUBLISH button near the top right section of your working page. You should see a message near the top that says the page has been bublished. YAY!
-----------
Step 5A: Click on the 'View your page' link and it'll take you to the live published version of your review. Now take a look at the page to make sure you're happy with how it was published. If you notice problems with any of your text, sizing, formating of tables etc. then click on 'edit page' and make your corrections and then update the page. Go back to view it. Once you're happy with the page copy the URL to the finished page by highlighting and Ctrl + C.
5B: Navigate to the Episode Guide listing ... http://www.thundercatslair.org/animated-series/episode-guide/
Click 'Edit Page'
Scroll down in the working window to the episode you've just updated and highlight the text from the number to the end of the line that names your episode. Click on the "link" icon on the toolbar (the same one that you previously used to link your screencaps).
Paste the URL to your finished page. The previously black text should now be coloured and underlined.
Update this page now, and you'll have finished the publishing and listing of your episode review. CONGRATULATIONS!!
---------------
Adding Screencaps / images
Go to the + Add New Media and drop or select the 13 files into that screen (12 screencaps from the episode and 1 screencap for the title card).

When you're in the page for your review you 'insert > add media'
Your screencap sizes should be 600 x 450 (l x w)
The title card size should be 300 x 225 (l x w)
When inserting your new media image into the screencap table:

- look on the bottom right of the screen under "Attachment Display Settings" you're given the option to choose a size - choose medium size which defaults to 300 x 225 (l x w) and drop them in to their cells one at a time.

Unfortunately we have to now manually resize each image individually to 100 x 75 by clicking on the image then clicking the "edit icon" which looks like a pencil... and choose "custom size" from the dropdown. I will see if I can change the template to default to this size for thumbnail going forward.

The system knows now that the thumbnail should open the full size image so we don't have to bother linking manually.
After this step is completed please publish or update the page and test that the images have been input properly by clicking on the thumbnails and making sure the corresponding screencap comes up.
