Hey guys, I want to embed the review videos on the forum, but have no idea how to do it?

As a matter of fact how do we embed YouTube videos too?

Chris here...

Hey Neil, I have no idea how to embed a BlipTV player as I've never done it - there should be a button somewhere for getting the embed code... :)

YouTube videos are easy, click on the button marked "Share" on the video's page, and you'll find a button marked "embed" - if you click on that it should throw up an item of HTML code that you can then copy and paste into the HTML of your webpage! :)

The thing that frustrates a lot of web designers is the fact that strictly speaking this code doesn't validate to W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards - but, even though it doesn't validate, the code is supported by pretty much every web browser known to mankind! :)

EDIT: Got it! On the video player you'll see a funny-looking button next to the time counter - if you click on that, it flashes up a bunch of options, including "copy embed code". Click that, then go to wherever you want to embed the video, right-click and hit "Paste", and that should work! :)

<embed src="http://blip.tv/play/AYLLrWUC" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="300" wmode="transparent" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" ></embed>

...Although for some reason it hasn't embedded correctly into the forums - maybe these forums don't allow videos to be embedded directly into posts via regular tags? :(

<iframe width="853" height="510" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/usB2Gy5Yma8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nope, it's to do with the forum settings! :(

Take care... :)

Ill look into the embedding of videos today. Im on my way to work so i really have no time right now to do it.

<iframe src="http://blip.tv/play/h7U5gsutZQA.html" width="720" height="404" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://a.blip.tv/api.swf#h7U5gsutZQA" style="display:none"></embed>

Make sure the bold letters are wrapped between the tags [blip]

Guys please don't mess with the BB code I installed, as I managed to fix it myself in the early hours of this morning with the help of Jason :)

For Blip TV you just wrap the video number/code in the tags [*blip] [*/blip] as I added the BB code in the admin panel ;) (obviously remove the '*', had to put that there for tags to show up!)

Yep. The only problem was that the coding for these tags to actually function wasn't installed in the admin panel. I installed it myself this morning ;)

Luckily the YouTube coding had already been done (guessing MannyF installed that coding ages back?) But yeah to embed YouTube video, you just need to wrap the video number in the same tags (but just replace 'blip' with 'youtube')

Actually i did the coding on that because there was none. When i checked this morning i saw the code and figured you had done it already.

Cool! I should have come to you straight away and would have done if I'd known you'd already done the code for YouTube! Oh well... actually I should have thought, since you also installed the spoiler code.
