OR anyone from liar dice productions or to do anything with the movie One Last Hit

he will never pay you and you will be stuck with all your hard work for nothing.

Just wanted to warn everyone

Still taking other custom orders, but I now require a down payment

Damn, that's horrible that happened to you. I'm curious, did you already send out the custom figure? I hope not.

Bit of advice, never send out a custom made figure until after you receive payment.

Sorry to hear you've had problems with your deal :( I'm moving this to the Feedback forum as it's better situated there :)

I am not sure what transpired between you and Liar Dice Productions, but i am here to say that i have had many successful transaction with Wayne. I would hope you have tried every possible "civil" solution before publicly blasting a man and his company...

Sounds like his buyers are happy, which isn't the same as those selling to him.

Who pays his own material costs and does not require that half of his fee is paid before his work begins?

Wayne is a real nice guy to deal with when buying and selling, I've ha experience in both with him and have no complaints.
He has Personal issues maybe?

Hi guys,

I'll add I've had great dealings with Liardice in the past and I am sure it's simple to resolve.

On other forums most people ask for an opinion of what to do in these transaction type of situation and try and solve it without putting down everything you may or may not know about the situation. There are always 2 sides to every story and for people to chime in and take so far 1 side without knowing the background really have no grounds.*

The best thing to do is get an opinion on what to do next, live seen high profile collectors turn to the dark side and take advantage of people. I hardly believe this situation can even get close to those types of fraud or scams and it would take too long to to explain.

The point is one day you or other people may run into a snag or some sort, if it's personal or financial and you work it out privately then that is the best way to handle it. Perhaps you had tried and this is the boiling point, the first step should have been asking some feedback first on what to do. I have done some excellent trades and sales with them in the past. I am sure some resolution can be made.

I would love to know wayne's side of the story since he just stopped answering emails when I sent him the total with shipping (which i discounted a lot). SO let me know when you find out if he is still alive or just disregarding my messages.

Of course there are :) However nobody had taken any sides, so that statement is a bit redundant

I do agree that a deposit to at least cover raw materials should have been taken first though. I guess it's a learning curve, if Liardice doesn't complete the deal. However with this type of deal it isn't your standard sale, since he hasn't really scammed you. I totally understand your anger and you have a right to be annoyed, but unfortunately folks do change their minds about an item all the time.

If Liardice doesn't buy the custom, hopefully he will at least apologise for messing you about.

I would say It was a scam because i did lose a lot of time i could have used making other things that sell. And it was aggred upon before i started the whole price and shipping. Therefore I would even say its a breach of contract. Mostly I just dont want this to happen to anyone else.

yeah..

I had something similar happen to me at my senior art show. I had my artwork up for sale, and one of my pieces was priced at 200 dollars. I had several people who were interested, but one person had already asked me to hold the piece for a couple months for them while they got the money together. THey said they definitely were going to buy the piece but they needed some time. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Never heard back from them. so I have lost out on 200 dollars that I could have made that day. From now on, I charge a holding fee with my work.:sneaky: it was a learning experience - I'm a newly-out-of-college freelancer, and I really can't afford to lose out on sales. It's annoying when people don't follow through on their end.
