I never thought I would see the day when the Lion-O & Mumm-ra laser sabers would be for sale, but they are, a quick search of the auction site will pull them up. If I had the 6k I would own these in a heartbeat, when I did have the cash, they were locked away in a private collection...that's the way it goes sometimes lol. But, wanted to give the serious big $$ collectors a heads up these are out there and for sale (for now anyhow).

Wow 6K. I wonder if anyone will pay that for them.

I think they will sell.

6k is way beyond my budget, but I envy whoever it is that is able to purchase them!

These are from the collection of "Robimus prime", right? Awesome pieces! :thumbsup

Yes they are. I wonder if he is splitting up the entire collection? If so, those looking to aquire some ultra-rare, fantastic MOCs should definately keep an eye out on his auctions!

pretty sure they have been up for a while....or relisted. $6k? Are the figures special like Thunderwings Lion-O or something?? I dont get why they might be worth that much?

My guess is also that he is splitting up his collection. Apart from ThunderCats, robimus also has some really amazing vintage Transformers toys all MOC or MIB! :)

I do believe that these are quite rare, possibly even rarer than the ThunderWings Lion-O. These Deluxe Laser Saber sets were made in Italy, and it is usually impossible to get MOC ThunderCats toys that were not made in the U.S., U.K. or BeNeLux. While I have seen a few Thunderwings Lion-O MOC over the years, I have never seen any other Deluxe Laser Saber MOCs apart from the three in robimus' collection.

So basically the card back is what makes it valuable? I'm not in any way detracting from the rarity of this item...I just personally dont see it, but then again, I'm a loose collector and dont care about packaging.

I am the same. I always buy stuff to open. Although there are a couple piece I did keep the packaging for as it was really nice and some I ended up getting a double of so I kept one sealed.

His copies are the ONLY known Lion-O and Mumm-ra deluxe laser sabers. There have been either 2 or 3 Bengali and no cpt. Shiner.
These are MUCH rarer than the TW lion-o and LL mumm-ra. There are several of each of those known about.

Basically they were pictured as part of the later series of toys that never saw release - turns out these made their way out overseas. If I remember the story right, he found some dealer who had them and scored all the dealer had.

If that's the case that has to be one of the best finds anyone has achieved of this line!
