:? I am wondering if someone could help me. When I was a kid I religiously followed the TV show, as well as the toys and comics. I had once written a letter and actually had it published in an issue of the ThunderCats Comic. Those days are long gone and my Comic collection has vanished.
My question: Can anyone PLEASE look through their issues of the comics at the "ThunderChat" secion and tell me what issue a letter from "John Giaccone" from NY was in? I would like to find a copy of that issue.
Please E-mail me, Bumpdraftn48@yahoo.com or respond here. You're help is greatly appreciated.
John Giaccone

Was it the US or UK version of the comic?

Chris here...
I've had a look through my US Marvel/Star issues from the 1980s, and the only reference I can find to a John Giaconne from New York was in the "ThunderPals" section of the letters page from #23. There's no letter, though, just a name, age (were you aged 9 in May 1988?), and address. :)
Here's the front cover:
As to where to buy it from, I would heartily recommend http://www.milehighcomics.com"" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.milehighcomics.com , my absolute favourite online comic book store (and where I got my copy!). They actually have it in stock currently, although it will set you back a pretty penny, as for some reason 1980s ThunderCats comics have shot up in value. I bought mine just at the right time, when they were all $1.00 - $2.00 each, back in 2000/2001. #23 in Near Mint condition will now set you back $22.50!
Hope this helps! :)
Take care... :)

Good job, He-Fan. I was confused by the "ThunderChat" part of the question considering that's the name of the UK comic books letters section.

Yeah, me too - I believe the letters page in the US comic was just called, rather unimaginatively, "ThunderCats Ho!". However, the NY part of John's question is what made me think we were talking about an issue of the US comic - whilst the US comic would probably have been available in the UK from specialist comic shops, I would be surprised if the UK comic magazine had made it into stores in the US! :)

Yes I forgot to mention that it was the US version. I could have sworn it was called thunderchat but geeze that was 18 years ago! Thank you so much!!! I will be getting this comic ASAP. :)

No problems, John - happy to help! :)
I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say you'd be welcome to stick around these Boards and join in our conversations if you wanted - even if you don't feel able to talk ThunderCats, I'm sure you'd be welcome to partake in discussions over on the "Other" Board! :)
Take care... :)
