New question: Are there any brands and/or franchises that, when any new merchandise from them comes out, people generally go crazy over it? Basically, something similar to how people wait in lines for the new cell phone or pair of sneakers.

Dont know about "new", but on Force Friday people wait in line at night for the latest StarWars stuff. And also Funko POP! Vinyl figures are insanely populair. People are always after the exclusives and Chase versions when stores open...

To add on to the last question, do you know of any cases where it happens more on an everyday basis? I guess an example would be a group of people that is always asking/looking for certain items at conventions, toy shows, retail, etc.
