Castle Plun-Darr in Ultimates

I know this is going to sound unrealistic and ridiculous, but how about Castle Plun-Darr in the Ultimates line? Of course it's impossible to have a full scale one, but a Four Horsemen sculpting of that front facade would look amazing for one's collection. As we get more Mutants in the line, they're gonna need a home.

There are a lot of potential avenues for the inside too: https://thundercats-ho.fandom.com/wiki/Castle_Plun-Darr

So, do you want Castle Plun-Darr?

I'd love to see Cat's Lair, The Black Pyramid, and Castle Plun-Darr. Beyond that you have the Tower of Omens and Sky-Tomb. Definitely lots of unexplored opportunities, but between these and all of the vehicles I just can't see them being able to sell all of it. I think if we're lucky we'd get Cat's Lair and one villain playset. So it might come down to the Black Pyramid or Castle Plun-Darr. That's if we're lucky.

When MOTUC started, I was happy to get at least up to Zodac on the 8 back characters. Then it just kept going on and on. Super7 likes doing rare stuff, and Castle Plun-Darr seems right up Brian's alley. I agree it's unrealistic to expect much beyond the Cat's Lair, but who knows. I'm gonna shoot for the stars because ThunderCats is such a cool and long deserving property.

It might be pie in the sky but I like it.

I hear the argument that Snake Mountain is just a “hollow shell”, and it’s ok with me. Castle Plun-Darr will be the same concept really and can come with a lizard cook or brutemen! It would be scaled differrently yes, but the idea of having this towering thing behind the mutants would be majestic.

I would pay for a castle plunder in a heart beat.
I am ok with a hollow shell too, It's not like we are playing with figures like when we were kids and need all the rooms and such. Now it's all about displaying the figures.

Which means that by your 40th we’ll get Mumm-Ra’s tomb, your 50th we’ll get the warrior maidens’ tree top kingdom, 60 and 70 will be a build-a-pyramid piece-it-together playset and finally at 84 the castle. Hoping for Skytomb by your 90th then!!!

Yes and when I reach 100, I want the Ratstar. That should be a G and a half. It was huge in the show. LJN never did it.

I’m pleasantly surprised how many fans adore the Rat Star. So when Alex is a decade old we’ll get this one. Hoping we won’t have to type then. Siri, please type “yes I ordered one...”

We'll be lucky to get that when I'm a decade older. Perhaps when I'm a century old. Imagine what inflation will do to that thing.

It would. It looked great in the show and it would be huge. It would most likely be out of reach for most but would be an impressive piece. The line will have to be very successful for Super7 to even consider making it. Late on in the show there were other flying machines that the Thundercats used on new Thundera. The possibilities are vast if the line thrives, will be very expensive though. Perfect for people who live in mansions and have lots of money. Space and money is needed for Thundercats Ultimates vehicles. The Thundertank is the most iconic so despite the size and price, I think people will still buy it.

I’ve been thinking about this (as I ponder/negotiate where in my apartment this thing is going to live)—the Tank is so enormous because it has to fit the whole team. Smaller one- or two-person vehicles like the HoverCat and ThunderClaw wouldn’t have to be much larger than their LJN counterparts, and the tooling might be simpler, too, since they’re smaller and don’t have as many detailed cavities or moving parts. Smaller and less complicated would mean lower price tags. And less anxiety over display space!

All that said, give me a ThunderStrike or Feliner first. Unproduced vehicles to the front of the line! Playsets honestly don’t interest me—there’s just no way to get the scale right within reason. A six-foot-tall Lair or Castle Plun-Darr, I do not want!

Yes, that's understandable. If you have large empty rooms and lots of money then those things start to sound interesting but otherwise, they're not worth having, despite looking good.

Have at it bro. As long as there is space and funds, why the hell not? I'm sure it would look great.

Oh you'll get plenty of time with that. Patience is often required of us Thundercats fans. The wait for other waves being shipped and revealed is taking it's toll. I'm starting to feel it now.

Honestly I think the Next Thundercats Ultimates big Item would Be Mumm-Ra's Tomb playset. If it sells well then Cats Lair would follow. Castle Plun-Darr would be nice but those other two playsets would be more popular with the fanbase and I say Mumm-Ra's Tomb would be next because it would be smaller than a Cats Lair or Castle Plun-Darr and most likely be the cheaper of the three Cost wise.
Mumm-Ra's Tomb would just need The Scull with Sarcophagus, Four Hollow Statues of The Ancient Spirits Of Evil and The Cauldron.
Super7 could even produce it so the eyes on the Skull and the Statues Glow in the Dark. I know of the three playsets My wallet would appreciate a Playset that's cheaper than $300.00
