Beware another auction...this might be resealed. How do i know??? Look at Mumm-Ra's pants and the symbol on his chest. They dont match with the headdress. The headdress that belongs to it is the dark accessories, this one has the light colored accessories
Whoever this "dancot70" guy is, he's an idiot, never mind that he can't spell "saber tooth" worth a damn. :D The one picture of the Grune figure I've seen in the old LJN catalog I have clearly shows it with only one saber tooth. I don't believe I ever saw any others with both saber teeth, so I think it was just the one figure with the one tooth.
Yes, I can see it's an Eye of Thundera sticker on the figure's chest. "Dancot70" also doubtless painted on the phony second tooth. You know, I can see some kid creating his own ThunderCat Grune figure in this manner to add to his own T-Cat collection. But the scam this "dancot70" jerk is pulling is so dirty that I'm surprised eBay doesn't kick him off their site. They should, and the sooner the better. :bengali:
Note: I just checked your Toy Guide and, yep, I was right. There was only one Grune figure that LJN made, the one with the missing saber tooth and no Insignia on the chest. So, anybody want to run dancot70 out of town? :D
P.S.: And did any of you see dancot70's "Chilla" figure? What a joke! It looks like it was made by an eight-year-old! :D
Who in their right mind would buy that. It looks like some sort of Voodoo doll. You know Im thinking of putting something like that on Ebay just for fun to see how it goes

Excuse me while I fall over laughing. And here I thought the Chilla figure was bad. The Luna one has it beat by a mile and a half.

As much as I think this guy is an asshat, I actually would love to see what other atrocity of customs he can come up with. lol

He only takes stuff down if he's not getting what he wants or if "too many questions have been asked" he's a crook, plain and simple unfortunately.

I thought I was the only one!!!
Hey guys!
I had to laugh when I saw this thread. I just joined the site, and right before joining, I won a "dancot" auction. I might have thought twice about bidding if I had seen this thread first!
Here's my story:
I won an auction for a loose Jaga and Ben-Gali. I have them in my collection already, but I am always looking for extras or upgrades. These two were going for a fairly reasonable price together, and the auction said that if the figures had ANY wear they could be returned for a full refund, so I went for it.
Well, the same day that the auction ended, I got an e-mail saying that the figures were already boxed up and ready to go, and that if I paid by Paypal, they would be shipped out immediately. Sounded good to me, so I went ahead and sent the automatic payment.
Then a week goes by and I receive an e-mail from "dancot" saying that the package is ready to send out.... This was strange since I had already been told that a week ago... Then the same day I receive another e-mail saying that the Ben-Gali figure was actually lost and he will just send the Jaga now, and I can pick another Thundercat later to receive in exchange for the missing Ben-Gali! If it was already boxed up and ready to ship a week before, how did it get lost? I sent a reply back saying I would not accept a substitute and instead would like a refund. Then he quickly wrote me back saying he found the figure!
Well, now I knew what I was dealing with and wanted this transaction to be over as quickly as possible. Several days pass by of him telling me every day that he was going to ship the item out the very next morning with a tracking number... Finally I realized greater action would have to be taken. He told me one more time that he would ship it out the next morning, so I told him if he did not, I would be opening a claim on Paypal against him. Sure enough, he didn't send it, so I turned him in. Then he wrote me back cursing in caps about how I had better close the claim! I told him I would close it when and only when I got the stuff (which he miraculously shipped out the next day).
Well, of course when the figures came, they had tons of paint wear and black marks all over them. Plus Jaga's arm action was broken! Now, I should have sent them back and gotten my money back, but by that point I SOOOO wanted to be done with this guy, that I just kept them. I was able to get all the black marks and stuff off, but boy was dealing with him unpleasant!!
If you are still reading, the moral of the story is be careful with this one!!
Wes
PS Thanks for reading as I vented!:bengali:

Bottom line, eBay should kick this creep off their website. If not, then they're aiding and abetting him with his ill-gotten gains and it makes them just as dirty as he is. Therefore, if they want to keep their reputation (such as it is) intact, eBay should be told about Mr. Dancot70's activities. :x

I agree, this guy is a total basket case and should not be allowed to sell or buy on Ebay. The bad thing is if he gets banned he just pops back up with another user name.

Exactly.
Also, eBay can't possibly have a Thundercats, Transformers, Silverhawks, etc... expert on hand to check all the auctions and remove the fake ones. Its up to us as collectors to become knowledgeable about the figures, variations, etc...
If we are going to be spending as much as some of the figures in the Tcats line go for, why not do the research?
It looks like the guy knows the jig is up though because he has/had a "MOC" Lynxo up for grabs which he admits is a reseal.
