Banned member Endorx

Just want to let everyone know that I have given a 1 day ban to member Endorx. One of his post was rude and disresspectful IMO. I hate to make an example of people but I will not put up with someone saying remarks like "That is all... Now go sit in the corner.. Lol :p :D"

I gave him a warning and told him to stop addressing people like that and in his email to me he replied the following:

"Im annoyed that you have given me this infraction. I think you should grow up and stop looking into comments so deeply Manny. Its abit of Banter.. Hence my smileys and Lol.. Do you have a sense of humor?

The Poster i was posting to took it in jest.. If he didnt, then id understand the infraction... There was no need for it. Was there!!!

Im sorry but I take those kind of replies seriously and do not think that he should be telling me or any of the other admins and mods how to deal with remarks between forum members. I dont think its the first time he's replied to people in such a manner

Well now you know...guess he will end up at EOT. Could care less after talking to other people the way he did. Its not the first time I believe where he talks down on people.

And now he just tried to reregsiter as TheLol'er

He had a one day ban until he attempted to re-register under a different name (TheLol'er) so I gave him 2 weeks. Yeah maybe i overreacted but I didnt feel like he was respectful to other, especially after sending me a PM like he did

I personally would've just edited out the not-so-nice part of his post and PM'ed him asking if he could tone those sort of remarks down or at least make it clearer that he's joking, rather than issuing a straight-out infraction. He's not someone who I have any great affection for, but in fairness I've not seen any other posts by him crossing the line...

His PM to you is out-of-line, he's flown off the handle here, but I think he feels he's been treated unfairly. In fairness to him - I personally have let remarks less than his go without issuing an infraction, rather just doing some post cleanup and making it clear in a thread that I won't tolerate that sort of behaviour, and that seems to work. :)

At the very least I would certainly reduce his ban back to 1 day...actually, if I'm honest, I'd lift it altogether. But, I think now for better or worse, this is a ship that's sailed... :)

I'm not sure a one day ban would achieve anything other than wind up that member? Hasn't Queen Lynxana done worse and only received friendly warnings?:confused:

That isn't good :mad: Did you reply Manny and tell him he got you mixed up? In all honesty, this flags up an issue that's been a problem for some time.....maybe it worth making a sticky about there being 2 Manny's on the team and letting forum members know the difference between you both?

I lifted his ban before i read this thread, i thought it must have been some kind of a mistake.

Lordore, I'm glad you lifted the ban as truthfully, and with profuse apologies to MannyC who I know acted with the best of intentions, I believe this is the right decision. :)

Ironically, I wouldn't have given him an infraction for what he did, but would have given him an infraction for his reaction to his infraction!! :D

Again, I'd like to stress I'm not knocking MannyC here, I think you were right to take some action re: his original comment, and right as well to take an action regarding his rude and discourteous PM to you, all I really disagree with is the severity of the action in both cases... :)

I don't know if someone wants to fire off an e-mail or PM to Endorx letting him know the ban has been lifted, the biggest potential problem is that it's a very difficult one to do without basically saying "I think we made a mistake" which I think would show too much weakness given that he hasn't behaved particularly well over this...? :confused:

Personally, I wouldn't have thought twice about that comment. But it's your board and of course, do whatever you see fit. I do think the ban was a bit much, especially after the point was made about queenie's behaviour vs this comment. I didn't care for his reaction to the ban, and him making what amounts to a troll account is not a good sign either...I guess we call it even? lol

Im pretty fed up with him...I havent even sent one message to him since the ban was lifted. Im not going to deal with his ass anymore, someone else deal with him because if i do it wont be nice.

Im done for now dealing with him, obviously telling him to watch how he talks to forum members has not gotten through his skull

You should tone down the argument.I thought after lifting your ban this issue would be over.Also, try to understand he is one of the the prominent creators who kick started this whole beautiful project called TCL Forum. Paying some respect isn't too bad... As a Forum Administrator he wants to keep things clean and steer clear of improper behaviors which will damage the community that more or less we all helped to build and love.

On top of that, all the members should bear in mind we have become a bit uptight over the last few months while trying to safeguard our Site from the mad influx of spammers and malicious threads. Personally, i spend more time banning than posting and reading other posts as i used to do. Manny has even more responsibilities and obligations running the Site properly so please don't take it any further and realize his position here... The least we need is superfluous conflicts from the inside.


If i were you i would say Sorry and call it even.

Is this a PM you've sent Endorx? Because if so it's great - I was against him receiving a ban and was prepared to cut him some slack because he felt he'd been treated unfairly but his attitude towards MannyC here isn't good at all, he's completely ignored what Neil's said to him and now he's just picking a fight! :mad:

So yeah, Lordore, I would say go ahead and send that to Endorx as a PM, it works well! :)

Personally I'd go for it - as you've only recently been promoted to Mod he may see you as much more "of the people" than one of us site creators who he seems to think are on a power trip (?!). So yeah, I'd say fire away, and many thanks! :thumbsup:
