The PR person (on behalf of Bandai) just emailed me this:

Hi Neil,

Hope you had a great weekend! Would you mind sending me your mailing address where I can send ThunderCats product if we receive some?

All the best,

Samantha

I've replied back giving them Jason's address, since he'll be reviewing them. I did ask to be given an heads up of what is sent and when if they do send stuff out. I'm hoping they will be sent soon, so we'll know what we don't need to order from BBTS.

Guess we'll have to see :)

This was my reply:

Hi Samantha,

That would be great as we plan to photograph everything! My plan is to cover all the Bandai stuff, in a similiar way that I've covered the vintage 80's toys by LJN.

We are also hoping to post our reviews up (so far we have the SDCC Lion-O up on the site) I think it really help fans and parents see the toys in action. I worked in a toy store a couple of years back and know how popular us demonstrating the toys helped parents what to buy.

So the address to send samples to is:

Jason Devall
104 Buckhorn
Springfield
IL 62707
United States

We are happy to get reviews of all and everything sent to us up on the site asap! If you do send out samples, can you let me know what is sent, so I can let Jason know what to expect?

Thanks
Neil

Chris here...

This is amazing stuff!

If we happen to get any duplicate samples (i.e., duplicates of what we've already ordered from BBTS), we could share these out amongst the team as per the BBTS "stock", or alternatively we could have let Jason keep a selection as a "Thank You" for doing the reviews, whichever you guys think would work out best. :)

Take care... :)

Jason received a press kit and the 4" Mumm-Ra (Decayed form) from Bandai today. He's gonna get the review for him cranked out by the weekend, with hopefully the ThunderTank review to follow (when Amazon decide to dispatch it! )

But how tight are Bandai sending out one measly figure? :sneaky: My own thought is, they have sent out the obvious peg warmer of the wave, to try and advertise him and boost sales ;)

I've asked Jason what exactly the press kit contains...

Chris here...

Pretty awesome that we've got another review coming down the pipe!

I agree about Bandai being a bit ungenerous there with the review, but maybe more will follow, and I'd also be very interested in knowing what's in the press kit! :)

Take care... :)

In regard to the press kit to quote:

the press kit is just a three page press release and some crummy images of SOME of the stuff

So most likely the same as we already have I'm guessing.

EDIT: Thundertank was sent today, so hopefully that review will be ready too very soon!
