Matius, that depends on how far in the future they aged the characters and besides she might have just a crush on him and he might not notice, or doesn't want to hurt her, or be hurt again. I have always thought that her loyalty to and faith for Lion-O meant she liked him and more then likely wouldn't realize it until she was older.

Given the opportunity to wrap up the series from where the last episode finished, but without a full second season, (perhaps just a 45 minute to an hour special). How would you like to see this incarnation of the Thundercats concluded?

Was there an obligation to include a love story/ triangle element?. I feel it was unnecessary for them to be pairing off within the group and it ditracted a lot from my enjoyment of the series.

Who's idea was it to make the Thundercat society so horrid and far removed from the original series? From the pilot I felt like they really deserved what happened to them for how they treated the other species. The whole "Justice, truth, honour, loyalty" thing sort of went out the window in this incarnation.

Who decided to make Snarf mute? I don't care what anyone says, original series Snarf was cool, and often the voice of sanity when people where jumping head first into dangerous situations. This version felt like a bit of a non event and could have just been cut all together.

Oh, and one last one. Not really a question, but I wanted to add that the Elephant monks with the short memory were truly awful! ;)

I would love a made for TV movie(or movies) to rap up the series.

I also liked OS Snarf though Snarfer was really annoying.

I like the elephant monks with short memory.

Do you intend to continue "ThunderCats 2011" in comic-book or movie form?

In my opinion: I have to kindly disagree and though I loved the old series with all my heart, the 2011th series was vastly superior and on an epic level of a deeply, detailed, grand scale. Everything that I thought was perfect in the old series was increased tenfold with the 2011th series to a more adult mindset of the kingdom of Thundera and the entire mythos. I was gobsmacked on the story telling and intrigued to watch each episode. Definitely rekindled my love for these characters and how they were newly but faithfully re imagined. ps- I loved Snarf being mute and found him lovable instead of annoying.

I think the 2011 pilot was superior to the rest of the series. I enjoyed the introduction to the new mythology. (Though after it bacame clear that there was tech everywhere on Thundera's doorstep the no tech thing felt a bit of a mis step). It felt adult and I was interested to see how things panned out, there was so much potential. Then came week after week of . endless in fighting and side quests, and then the love triangle, I really wanted them to just get on with it. It felt like a CW show that just happened to be beautifully animated. I found myself being more invested in the stuff that happed to Leo in the past and how Thundera was formed, rather than where the present day cats were going after the fall of Thundera.

WOW :o.....our opinions differ greatly on the 2011 series.

I have said this in a previous thread but I liked some some episodes and took them for what they were but to me it just never seemed like real Thundercats just more of a Avatar rip off using Thundercats that was not done anywhere near as well as Avatar.

Hmm, I agree about the tech, I was hoping a story would emerge to clear that up. Like where did Panthro get the tank and how was he so well versed in tech since his people were never exposed to it. I see your point on the love triangle and side quests, even though shockingly to myself one of my favorite episode was Song of the Petalars. Very sad.

Panthro got the Tank from Mumm-Ra's Pyramid. You see Mumm-Ra's soldiers with them during the flashbacks.
#33
So how much time do we have to submit questions before they are sent?
#34
We'll stop taking new questions on Friday the 26th Sept. We'll compile the questions and get them to Dan a few days after that.

Cheers,
Mark

I agree on the Petlars episode, it was a beautiful story and quite moving for a 25 minute cartoon. It also continued the story for the Thundercats, and featured Slithe hunting them, (and in terms of time for the Thundercats it was over in a day). There were other episodes, that in isolation were OK. When there is a ticking clock element added and you have to beat the bad guys at all costs, all the stalling becomes more infuruating to watch.

What was your favorite design that we never got to see?

Was there anything that was cut that you wish had stayed in?

Why was Thunderian society so techno-phobic when it seems like much of the outside world had plenty of tech? How did they become so ignorant of what's outside while still considering themselves the strongest kingdom?

Were there any more flashbacks planned with Leo? What was his story after the crash?

Where any characters that were (more or less) in just one episode planned to come back? i.e. the Drifter, Petalars, Driller, etc.

What was the fate of Grune in the Astral Plane?

(non TC related but *shrugs*)

What exactly do you do at Riot now? I don't think I've seen any artwork you've done there yet.

Do you think you'll ever work on an animated series again?
