Anyone glad LJN didn't make a video game for NES?

They made good toys but some of their games were stinkers.

I never did get into LJN's video game side.

I do remember that LJN abandoned making toys in favor of making video games. I personally only owned and played one of their NES games, "Terminator 2". It was ok, at best. I never got a chance to play any of their other games. But until today people still curse LJN for making horrible video games, so I'm guessing that they must have been pretty bad.:(

I only ever played two LJN games. The one I owned, Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six and my friend's WWF WrestleMania Challenge. Personally I enjoyed Spider-Man although it was a bit difficult. I only have vague memories of the WWF game. It wasn't great but it was better than the Acclaim WrestleMania game I had.
LJN's toys were not great either. Don't get me wrong I love Thundercats but in terms of size, sculpt, articulation etc there was a far better toylines. LJN's Dungeons and Dragons line is one of the best examples....in terms of, size, playability, articulation, sculpting, accessories etc it was superior to Thundercats in nearly everyway but the drastic downfall that destroyed the line and the cartoon was the fact that LJN did not make any figures of the main characters from the TV show.

LJN games were absolute garbage. On one hand, it's a good thing that they didn't get anywhere near the TCats license. But on the other hand, we missed out on getting some TCats sprites that could have been repurposed now in a homebrew game (my other hobby)

I believe I read/seen a video that showed some work done for a Thundercats game for the Spectrum or Commadore were re-used in another title.

You are probably referring to Larry Bundy's awesome retrospective:

That was it. :) Put a Lion-O sprite on The Legend of Zelda.

Even though we never got a "ThunderCats" game for Nintendo or Sega, it would have been cool if one of the characters had made a cameo appearance in one of the popular games like "Legend of Zelda" etc. Maybe they could have had Link pick up the Sword of Omens, thinking that it's the Master Sword, and Lion-O rushes in and snatches it from him! :)

Aside from a couple minutes on an emulator (the emulator on the computer was not working properly) I have never actually really played a proper Zelda game.

Nope, not me. I would have loved a NES game of ThunderCats! If they did a NES version of the old Amiga game, it would have been awesome! And another sweet collectable :)

I would have loved to hear the Thundercats music done in 8-bit like some other great pieces of music in NES games like Duck Tales, Goonies etc.
