Alternative Lion-O?

I just realized that one of my glowing eye lion-os has painted eyes, is that common? i will post a pic as soon as i can, any help, thanks!

I had a Lion-O like that. The ring connection point on his back was also weird looking.

I dont have any other loose Lion-Os to compare it to :-(

Yep, very common :) as a matter of fact, arent they all painted? I thought the white of Lion-O's eyes was painted on every light-up version, no?

For some reason I thought they were solid orange..

Yes, all of mine are painted as well.

Yip mine too!

Mine was also painted on. They only showed orange when lit up. The paint obviously allowed the light through.

Your Liono must belong to the Rainbow (2nd logo) 22-back ,the so called brown-chest Lion-o. The body seem lightened up and the face a bit whiter, the eyes are redder like yours. I used to own this particular Lion-o!!:
