Nice! I agree that Mumm-Ra and the three Mutants have to be present. They are the cats' original villains. So that leaves place for only one other villain. Grune is certainly a formidable opponent and a good fifth choice. I think even Ratar-O might be a good option.

Grune would work better in a sequel movie. The first should concentrate on Mumm-Ra and the Mutants. Have Grune as the main villain of the second movie so they can expand on the history of Thundera and his back story.

Grune is one of my all time favorite villains, but I can get on board with this. Maybe have Vultureman in the first movie instead...

I´d like the (hypothetical) movie to have the Shadowmaster as the 5th villain. He captured Claudus during the exodus from ThunDera, maybe the movie could elaborate on that or the event leading up to that. The movie should combine Exodus and The Unholy Alliance. It could end after Mumm-Ra is defeated by his own reflection and have a nice open ending for movie 2 featuring the Berbils, Cats' Lair & Castle Plunn-Dar and the Grune story arc.

I like this idea too. It establishes the main characters as well as their respective homes. That way even if someone who is not familiar with the thundercats gets a good idea of their origins.

I would like more details about the mutants and where did they come from? The old cartoon makes them sound like aliens from other planet than the Thundercats and they are called mutants because??

IMO, it was absurd to include the Mutants and Mumm-Ra in that list... of course they had to be in a TC movie. I thought they were going with 5 non-regular villains, so here's my list (in no particular order):
Grune
Safari Joe
Cptn. Shriner
Ratar-O (I know he's a Mutant, but not a regualr one)
Hammerhand and the Berserkers
Kittenmeow: Yes, all we know is that the Mutants come from a planet named Plun-Darr, and that they have been enemies of the TCs like forever lol. I agree it would be interesting to learn more about them. And you're right: why are they called Mutants? The TCs themselves are mutants as well (as was pointed out by Willa in "Trouble with Time", I think), as they are anthropomorphic animals.
