When the page was completed with inks, the difference between these pencils and the final version of the page was striking, with very thick ink lines used throughout, dominating the piece. Another interesting note is that, when this page was published, the pencil artwork was erroneously credited to Jim Mooney! Like several of the other examples of artwork in this gallery, this page was donated to us for display by the artist Martin Griffiths, and as with so many of the pieces he sent us, Martin very kindly sent us a highly detailed scan - click on the image above to view a larger version!
